About 15 new climbers ventured to Skinner Butte on Sunday morning for Rock 101, a course provided by the Outdoor Pursuits Program and the Outdoor Program, designed to give those interested a taste of outdoor climbing. The participants were provided with all the necessary gear: ropes, harnesses, shoes and belay devices, and for two and a half hours sharpened their skills on the basalt.
