Measure 43, which would require that abortion providers give 48-hour written notice to an unemancipated minor’s parent, with some exceptions: “I think our teenage girls really need to have more of an advocate for them, and I think that this puts a lot of girls in a dangerous position. It’s not the government’s responsibility to try and create good relationships between parents and their daughters. I think this could actually create more of a problem in families where girls are becoming pregnant.”
