The first comprehensive study of the University’s environmental sustainability will be on public display today.
University Environmental Studies graduate students looked at all aspects of the University to form the report. The final document will also provide recommendations for President Dave Frohnmayer’s plan to reduce emissions 80 percent by 2050.
The student researchers will present the results from the first Campus Sustainability Indicators report at 4 p.m. in the Knight Library Browsing Room, according to a press release. Senior University leadership including administrators, deans and other important leadership positions will be on-hand to watch the presentation, and the report will be released afterward.
Environmental Leadership Program Instructor Steve Mital said the group’s presentation will also be “climate neutral” because solar panels on loan from EWEB will be used to run the computers.
