Briefly explain your platform.
I want to make more aware the EMU we have now and what it can offer to students as well as working on the master plan for the future EMU.
What qualities and experience qualify you to be on the EMU Board?
I’m a member of a fraternity, so I’ve held two leadership positions in that in my first two years, in addition to serving on the Intrafraternity Council. So I think that has given me a lot of organizational and planning skills, as well as the ability to interact with people.
What are your thoughts on the size and purpose of the student incidental fee?
I think the incidental fee is obviously very important in that it can help to fund programs that we need. I think we should try to keep incidental fees as low as we can while providing all the necessary services, because right now we are obviously in very tough times.
What steps would you take to relieve the financial pressures on the EMU?
We have a lot of programs that are good for some people, but we need to look at programs that help everyone the most.
How would you change the EMU to better serve students?
I think the biggest thing is just raising awareness and informing students of what the EMU has to offer. I think the improvements are going to come more down the road in building our new EMU.
