The Eugene Police Department did not release any more details Tuesday involving the theft that occurred early Sunday at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Melinda Kletzok confirmed only that an investigator has been assigned to the case, but said she would not release the investigator’s name.
Members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity have accused Oregon football players Jeremiah Masoli and Garrett Embry of stealing a number of personal possessions shortly after midnight early Sunday morning.
Police said the items stolen included “a laptop, some software, an expensive instrument and
other equipment.”
Responding to media inquiries, they also said in a statement, “We have no reason to release names of victims or persons of interest or suspects at this time.”
