Oregon acrobatics and tumbling is in familiar territory.
The second-ranked Ducks advanced to the NCATA Finals for the sixth straight year with a 283.405-274.995 win over N0. 3 Quinnipac on Monday in Waco, Texas.
Oregon (11-2) won five of six events in the semifinals. The team will take on No. 1 Baylor on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Baylor won both contests between this season.
In the opening round, Oregon won 38.85-37.95 in the compulsories. The Ducks won the acro heat before Quinnipac took the pyramid and the teams tied in the toss. Oregon won 9.50-9.00 in tumbling.
Next, the Ducks swept the acro heats with marks of 9.75, 9.90 and 9.70 to earn a 29.35-29.00 win.
Oregon had a 97.90-96.65 lead heading into intermission. The Ducks followed up the next event out of the break with a 28.85-28.50 win in the toss. In the tumbling event, Oregon extended its lead with a 56.825-55.125 win. Sophomore Taylor Galvin, the national champion in the heat on Saturday, recorded a 9.925 mark int he 6-element pass.
Going into the team event, the Ducks had a 183.575-180.275 lead and punched their ticket to the finals with a 99.83-94.72 win.
