Good morning! It’s Monday, July 1.
Today we are featuring a story by investigations reporter Tatum Stuart regarding the events that led up ASUO, UO’s student government, scheduling its Spring concert on the same day as the Native American Student Union’s Mother’s Day Powwow, two years in a row. Stuart sat down with several ASUO and NASU members for this article — some ASUO leaders said that it was a priority to not make the same mistake again, while others said they weren’t warned about the conflict during their training.
To read more about the events that led up to ASUO’s decision to hold the concert — and its eventual decision to cancel it — you can read more at our website.
