Oregon baseball is headed south next week for the 2024 Pac-12 Tournament.
The Ducks clinched the No. 3 seed in the tournament with their 19-11 conference record.
The nine-team tournament will take place at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale Arizona from May 21-25. The final Pac-12 Champion will be crowned on Saturday.
Oregon will play No. 7 Utah (16-14 in Pac-12 play) at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and No. 4 USC (17-12 in Pac-12 play) at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The tournament’s nine contenders are broken down into of a trio of three-team pools. The Ducks will be the highest-seeded team in Pool C alongside No. 4 USC and No. 7 Utah (16-14).
Each pod will play round-robin style from Tuesday through Thursday. The winner of each pool — which is decided by the best record in pool play — will advance to the tournament’s semifinal round on Friday along with one wild card team. All tiebreakers are settled by seeding — a good break for the No. 3-seeded Ducks.
Pool A consists of No. 1 Arizona (20-10), No. 6 California (17-13) and No. 9 Washington (10-20). Pool B is filled by No. 2 Oregon State (19-10), No. 5 Arizona State (17-13) and No. 8 Stanford (11-19).
Washington State (9-21) and UCLA (9-21) failed to earn a spot in the final Pac-12 Tournament.
The semifinal round will take place on Friday and the winner of the two single-elimination games will face off Saturday night for the Pac-12 Tournament Championship.
Last season, the Ducks won the Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 6 seed as they defeated No. 9 California, No. 1 Stanford, No. 3 Washington and No. 8 Arizona over a span of five days.
