What got you involved with sustainable business and Net Impact?
It was an internship I had with Port of Los Angeles. I worked with one of the directors there designing amping procedures. Having worked on that, it was just an incredible experience. My mother and grandmother also both passed away at the time I finished my internship. When that happened, there was a huge mind alteration in me. When you find out what you’re interested in and what you have passion for, there’s no reason to put it off any longer. I miss my mom, but I don’t think I’d be on this path if not for her.
How do you want to change the world?
I just know there are a number of things that make me happy and comfortable, and working on something that is very progressive and can probably change things is one. … I am not looking at the end goal, and am instead doing things here that will lead me somewhere I want to be. I am just doing this on faith and hoping something good comes of these decisions.
