Situated only one mile from campus, downtown is alien to many University of Oregon students. The city center is home to many unique restaurants and a bustling nightlife. Across the street from Ken Kesey square is the Barn Light. This coffee shop and bar is a great hangout for homework during the day and an intimate destination for a relaxed night out with friends or significant other. The Emerald stopped by to see just what the Barn Light has to offer. From simple elegant coffee drinks to a menu of tasty seasonal beverages to a variety of canned beers, the Barn Light is definitely worth a visit.
