Two days. Two prestigious watch lists.
Oregon women’s basketball’s Jillian Alleyne has been named to the Wade Trophy Watch List for the 2014-2015 season, it was announced Tuesday morning.
She is one of 25 members on the list, which is selected by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
The junior forward from Fontana, Calif. was selected to the Wooden Award watch list yesterday afternoon.
Regarded as the Heisman Trophy of women’s basketball, the award is named in honor of Lily Margaret Wade. It’s given annually to a player who embodies the spirit of Wade — game and season statistics, leadership, character, effect on their team and overall playing ability.
She is one of five Pac-12 student-athletes to make the list: Brittany Boyd (California), Reshanda Gray (California), Amber Orrange (Stanford), Kelsey Plum (Washington).
