Jan. 7: The Reverend Horton Heat will incite a psychobilly freakout at the WOW, with help from Nekromantix and Old Man Markley, doors open at 7 p.m., $20.
Jan. 17: Caravan of GLAM, a rare all-ages queer cabaret event at the WOW, doors open at 8 p.m., tickets are $10 without costume, $5 with.
Jan. 23: L.A. rapper Hopsin will play the WOW in support of his new album “Knock Madness.” Dizzy Wright and DJ Hoppa open. Doors open at 8 p.m., $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
Jan. 28: Stalwart bluegrass ensemble The Devil Makes Three will barnstorm the McDonald in support of their new record “I’m A Stranger Here.”  The Brothers Comatose open, doors open at 7:30 pm, tickets are $25.
Feb. 1: Oakland hip-hop gurus Zion I rock the WOW with support from Sol, 8 p.m., $15 advance, $18 at the door.
Feb. 3: In case you weren’t aware Toad The Wet Sprocket actually made music in addition to just being a band called “Toad The Wet Sprocket.” They’re coming to the WOW with Jonathan Kingham, 7 p.m., $25 advance, $30 at the door.
Feb. 4: Excision will drop the bass on the McDonald with support from Dirtyphonics and the awesomely named iLL. Gates. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., $30 advance, $35 at the door, 18+ only.
Feb. 6 The almighty Jerry Seinfeld descends upon the Hult Center with his famous stand-up routine, doors open at 7 p.m., tickets range from $48-$78.
Feb. 17: Post-Jefferson Airplane band Hot Tuna play an acoustic set at the McDonald with David Lindley, doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $45.
Feb. 18: Screamo legends Escape the Fate will make the WOW feel like high school for a few sweet hours, with help from Eve to Adam and New Years Day, doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15.

Jan. 10: Notorious ska-punks Reel Big Fish play the Hawthorne Theatre with an impressive support bill comprised of Suburban Legends, Mighty Mongo and The Maxies, doors open at 6:30 p.m., tickets are $20 advance, $23 at the door.
Jan. 19: Say Anything frontman Max Bemis plays solo at the Doug Fir lounge with Matt Pryor, Perma, Merriment and Allison Weiss, doors open at 6:30 p.m., $16, 21+ only.
Jan. 21: Decemberists frontman and Northwest indie-rock icon Colin Meloy plays a solo set at McMenamin’s Crystal Ballroom. Doors open at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. show, tickets are $30.
Jan. 22: English guitar ragamuffin Jake Bugg plays McMenamin’s Crystal Ballroom with support from The Skins and Strokes member Albert Hammond Jr., $23.50 advance, $25 door. Doors open at 8 p.m., 9 p.m. show.
Jan. 23: Dance-prog duo Darkside plays the Doug Fir Lounge ($20, doors at 8 p.m., 21+) on the same day that indie-folk oddball Mutual Benefit brings the banjos to The Bunk Bar ($10 advance, $12 door, doors at 9 p.m., 21+) and ’90s guitar revivalists Yuck play at Mississippi Studios ($13 advance, $15 door, doors at 8 p.m).
Jan. 30: Washed Out and Kisses converge for a night of chillwave at McMenamin’s Crystal Ballroom, doors at 8 p.m., $16 advance, $18 door.
Feb. 5: Oneohtrix Point Never: In this reviewer’s humble opinion the most brilliant musician currently working the American indie circuit performs live at the Doug Fir Lounge. I have no idea whether or not he’s as good live as he is on record, but if I were 21 I’d take a Bolt Bus for this. Doors at 8 p.m., $16 advance, $18 door, 21+ only.
Feb. 19: The Pixies, now Kim-less (Deal or Shattuck), team up with Best Coast for a performance at The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Doors at 7 p.m., show 8 p.m., tickets range from $49.25 – $60.05.
