– Oregon football commit Travis Waller will enroll early at the University, he announced yesterday on Twitter. Waller, a four-star quarterback from Servite High School in Southern California, will join the Ducks in the springtime. He threw for 1,692 yards and 14 touchdowns this season as a senior and ran for 840 more and 13 rushing touchdowns.
– Oregon football’s Byron Marshall today said that he will request an NFL draft stock evaluation at the end of the Ducks’ season. Though Marshall said he still hasn’t made a decision, he said the evaluation can help him and his family be better informed. Fellow Ducks DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead and Marcus Mariota could all presumably leave UO early for the NFL.
– Oregon women’s basketball roared back in dramatic fashion last night at Matthew Knight Arena to take down Santa Clara 92-88 in double overtime. Lexi Bando set a new career-high with 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting while Jillian Alleyne picked up her 18th consecutive double-double, tying the Pac-12 record she shares with Cheryl Miller.
– The Oregonian‘s Jason Quick today took a closer look at Mark Helfrich and his progression as Oregon’s football coach in the last two seasons. Helfrich and the Ducks will take on Florida State on Jan. 1 in the inaugural College Football Playoff in Pasadena, Calif.
– Yesterday, Oregon football’s head coach Mark Helfrich confirmed that All-American cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu will miss the rest of the season with a non-contact knee injury that occurred in practice. Helfrich said that Ekpre-Olomu was in good spirits and secondary coach John Neal said to reporters, “‘He [Ifo] told us, ‘Don’t worry about it. Everything is going to be OK.’”
