For the second time this season, Oregon forward Jillian Alleyne has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Alleyne posted 33 points and 16 rebounds in the Ducks’ loss to No. 24 California on Thursday. She added five steals and two blocks against the Golden Bears and was 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.
The junior had 22 points and 12 rebounds in Oregon’s signature win of the year — a 62-55 upset of No. 19 Stanford — Sunday on 10-of-15 shooting.
On the season, Alleyne is averaging 18.4 points per game and 15.1 rebounds per game. She picked up the NCAA-best 27th double-double of the season on Sunday. Earlier this season, she set the Pac-12 record for most consecutive double-doubles (21). She is 36 rebounds shy of matching Bev Smith’s Oregon record of 1,326 rebounds.
Alleyne also received the conference’s weekly honor after posting 30 points and 25 rebounds against UCLA earlier in the season.
The Ducks play Washington State in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, Thursday in Seattle. Tip-off is set for 11:30 a.m. on Pac-12 Networks.
