Dream Job: Through conferences and internships, I’ve been able to learn about my “dream jobs” and I realized, a dream job is still a job. There are pros and cons to every position. Therefore, I don’t have a specific dream job. My dream is to work in an industry or environment that I enjoy while being able to impact people in a positive way.
Why are you attending UO?
Oregon Law was the only place where I could get open door access to the athletic department while getting a fantastic legal education.
How/why do you want to change the world?
Changing the world takes people putting aside their individual desires for a common goal. By being a good human and doing what is right, a person can make a positive contribution to the world and slowly help change it. At this point in my life, I believe I could make a positive contribution by advocating on behalf of student-athletes. With my student-athlete and law background, I have a unique perspective about the needs of student-athletes and an ability to understand University and NCAA rules and regulation. I hope to make a positive contribution in the future.
What has been the best part of your college experience?
The best part of my law school experience has been to meet and learn from all my classmates. A simple conversation with a classmate turns into a lesson about something I had no idea about. To meet, learn and become friends with these people that will end up doing amazing things in their lives has been the best part of my law school experience.
What are you proud to have been involved with at UO?
I was selected as the Student-Athlete Development Graduate Teaching Fellow and my role is to help career develop over 500 student-athletes. Being able to relate and give back to student-athletes has been one of the most fulfilling jobs of my life. I’m proud of the work I’ve done at the Jaqua Center.
What are some of your goals after graduation?
My goal is to become a lawyer and see where life takes me. Becoming an Athletic Director, general counsel at NIKE or general counsel for a Pro Football team might be goals to strive for. However, I’m open to any and all possibilities that come my way. I always keep an open mind.
Who’s your biggest role model/influencer?
My parents and my fiancé Jordan.
