Oregon junior forward Jillian Alleyne has been invited to tryout for USA Basketball women’s national team trials for the Pan American and World University Games, the organization announced Wednesday.
Alleyne is one of 54 athletes selected between the USA World University team and Pan-American teams that will convene at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs during May 14-17. The 12-person rosters for each team will be announced on the morning of May 17.
The U.S. Pan American team will compete in Toronto, Canada this summer, while the World University team will travel to Gwangju, South Korea.
Alleyne is one of 10 athletes to have previous USA Basketball experience. She participated in the U19 team trials in 2013.
Alleyne averaged 18.4 points a game this year and 15.2 rebounds a game, while being named an Associated Press third-team All-American. She was also selected to the Pac-12’s all-conference team.
