1.) David Oliver, 12.95
2.) Terrence Trammell, 12.95
3.) David Payne, 13.02
4.) Ryan Wilson, 13.02
5.) Aries Merritt, 13.09
Even with a .16 lead in the season, David Oliver is no lock to hold down an Olympic team berth in the 110m hurdles. That’s because Terrence Trammell, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, is entered. Trammell took second at the world outdoor championships last season, and has a season’s best of 13.11 seconds. Oliver, meanwhile, finished last season ranked ninth in the world, and has run three of the world’s five fastest times in 2008. The only man in front of him is world record-holder Dayron Robles.
Look for Oregon record holder Eric Mitchum in the race, as well. Mitchum’s time of 13.35 is the ninth-fastest in the U.S. this year.
