After the final day of play in the Husky Invitational, the Oregon men’s golf team dropped a place to fifth with an overall team score of 23-over-par. Oregon freshman Eugene Wong, who through two days had been 3-over-par, shot an 81 to put him at 12-over-par. The Ducks’ leader, Jack Dukeminier, shot 3-over-par to leave him in 13th place individually, with an overall 4-over-par for the tournament.
Oregon had a few standout players in sophomores Dukeminier and Isaiah Telles, who tied for 16th with 6-over, as well as freshman Robbie Ziegler, who tied for 23rd place with an 8-over-par.
No. 14 Washington blew out all the competition, notching a team score of 7-under-par, led by overall-best shooter Chris Killmer with 5-under-par. Placing ahead of Oregon were Washington (-7), California (+6), San Diego State (+15) and Brigham Young (+23).
The tournament took place at the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain in Bremerton, Washington.
