Marquette guard Krystal Ellis scored 17 points, and forward Paige Fiedorowicz had 12 points and 12 rebounds and the Golden Eagles held off a cold Oregon Ducks team, 69-39, in Milwaukee.
The Ducks shot 22.2 percent (12-54) from the field, including 18.2 percent (6-33) in the second half and 19 percent (4-21) from three-point range. Oregon, in suffering its largest margin of defeat on the season, also lost the rebounding battle (44-31) and the turnover battle (15-12).
Micaela Cocks was the only Duck with a double-figure point total, scoring 14 points in addition to four steals. Freshman forward Amanda Johnson scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds for the Ducks.
Taylor Lilley, in her second consecutive start, was held scoreless for just the second time in her career. Lilley missed all eight of her field goals, including six three-point attempts.
