Behind freshman center Bol Bol’s career-best game, No. 13 Oregon men’s basketball took down No. 15 Syracuse in Madison Square Garden on Friday afternoon, 80-65.
That night, No. 16 volleyball hosted its final regular-season home game and senior night in Matthew Knight Arena. Double-doubles from seniors Lindsey Vander-Weide and August Raskie were not enough to beat the unranked Colorado Buffaloes and the Ducks were upset in five sets 3-2.
At the NCAA cross country national championships, No. 3 Oregon women earned third place. Junior Jessica Hull finished third, Weronika Pyzik finished 12th and Carmela Baez finished 31st. The men’s team finished 15th behind a 73rd finish by Jackson Mestler.
Oregon football finishes regular-season play at home in a win against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Going into the second half with a lead of 28-13, the Ducks gave up sixteen points, but managed to defeat the Sun Devils thanks to a lone field goal and a forced fumble by linebacker La’Mar Winston Jr.
On Sunday, women’s basketball’s Sabrina Ionescu recorded her 12th career triple double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Ruthy Hebard had 25 points and Satou Sabally added 20 of her own to give No. 3 Oregon the victory over Buffalo 102-82.
