The first-annual InterMingle was held on Friday. The one-day afternoon and evening event featured street performances on 13th Avenue and salsa and ballroom dancing lessons in the EMU Ballroom to help welcome students to campus. Most events were held near the newly built and colorfully decorated Heart of Campus at 13th Avenue and University Street.
More than 100 people gathered to watch five bands perform at InterMingle.
Other InterMingle activities included crafts with the EMU Craft Center and movies at the International Resource Center. The event came one day after the first day of residence hall move-in.
