Fresh off leading the Ducks to a sweep of No. 9 Louisiana Lafayette, Jenna Lilley earned her second award.
Lilley was named Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon, the organization announced. On Monday, she was named Pac-12 Player of the Week.
“I’m honored to receive this recognition and I want to thank my coaches and teammates for putting me in this position,” Lilley said in a release.
Lilley helped the No. 2 ranked Oregon softball team to three consecutive wins by hitting .750 at the plate, going 6-of-8. She had a double, home run, six RBIs, three runs scored while recording at least one hit and a run in each game. She scored the game-winning run for the Ducks on Saturday in extra innings.
Tuesday marks the second time she’s won the award, which is distributed weekly during the season. She also won the award on February 24.
“This is another great honor for Jenna and our program,” said head coach Mike White in a release. “This award is a reflection of all of her hard work and drive to be a great player.”
Oregon returns to action this Friday for a three-game series against California.
