Why are you attending UO?
I got a full-ride scholarship for undergraduate studies and a graduate teaching fellowship for graduate studies!
How/why do you want to change the world?
People turn to music to solve problems. I want to be someone who makes inspiring music that helps people come together in times of both happiness and sadness.
What has been the best part of your college experience?
Touring Europe with the school’s big band.
What are you proud to have been involved with at UO?
Tons and tons of music groups.
What are some of your goals after college?
Move to New York and someday have kids and teach them to play music. Maybe win a Grammy?!
Who’s your biggest role model/influencer?
Wynton Marsalis.
Which fictional character is most like yourself?
Nick Caraway from The Great Gatsby.
What is one fun fact about you?
I come from a big family: five siblings, 25 aunts/uncles and 45 first cousins.
