In the most recent USTFCCCA poll, both the men and women of Oregon saw a dip in the national track and field rankings. The women dropped from the top of the poll to No. 5, while the men went from No. 18 to No. 22.
The reason for the drop is that this poll was the first of the season to exclude 2011 results from consideration. As a result, Clemson rose to the No. 1 spot on the women’s side, followed by Louisiana State, Texas and Florida. Four other Pac-12 teams made the rankings: No. 8 Arizona, No. 10 Arizona State, No. 20 Stanford and No. 24 USC.
On the men’s side, Texas A&M claimed the top spot. They were followed by Florida, Arizona State, Louisiana State and Florida State. Three other Pac-12 teams made the rankings: No. 6 USC, No. 13 Arizona and No. 18 Stanford.
