Oregon State Senator Bill Morrisette will discuss his proposal to change the way members of the Lane Transit District Board of Directors are selected at a City Club of Eugene meeting today.
LTD Board members are currently selected by the governor and confirmed by the Oregon State Senate. Morrisette, D-Springfield, is proposing to change the law so the members are elected.
The meeting will be held at 11:50 a.m. at the Downtown Athletic Club at 999 Willamette St. Admission to the meeting is free for City Club members and $3 for nonmembers.
The meeting will be broadcast on radio station KLCC 89.7 on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
