A successful business developer and supporter of fraternities will present a seminar near campus Saturday for freshman and sophomore men.
Jerry Nelson of Scottsdale, Ariz., will put on “Winners & Losers,” at 10 a.m. at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house, at 729 E. 11th Ave.
Nelson, a vigorous supporter of American college fraternities, is a successful business developer of such famed Arizona golf properties as Troon, an active investor in
Ticketmaster and developer of properties in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He is widely recognized as a successful business leader, motivator and philanthropist, according to a Phi Kappa Psi press release.
He was appointed by then-Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt to the Urban Lands Advisory Commission and in 1997 was inducted into Scottsdale’s “History Maker Hall of Fame,” according to the University chapter’s Web site. He is also a board member of the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation.
The presentation is free of charge.
