After one round at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Tacoma, Wash., the No. 17 Oregon women’s golf team is tied for fourth place.
The Ducks combined to shoot nine over par, 13 strokes behind California for first place. Oregon, which is tied with UC Davis, also trails Southern California (-3), and Washington (+5).
Raphaela Dyer led the Ducks with an even par round. After bogeying 12, 13 and 14, Dyer bounced back with birdies on 15, 16 and 17.
The Ducks’ second-best round belonged to Kendra Little, who scored at two over par. She had five bogeys and three birdies.
Cheyenne Hickle finished her round three over. Hickle was even par over her first nine holes, but struggled down the backstretch.
A rough start doomed Erica Omlid, who finished at four over par. Omlid bogeyed her first hole, then double bogeyed her second and third before finding her rhythm.
Ashley Edwards bogeyed 10 holes without a birdie to finish at +10.
Round two of the three-round Ihlanfeldt Invitational will tee off tomorrow.
