How/Why do you want to change the world?
Changing the world is a daunting task, but I want to leave my mark on the people I interact with everyday. I want to have a positive influence on the future soldiers that I will lead, not only motivating them to strive for greatness, but also inspiring them to do same for those they lead in the future, both in and out of the Army.
What are you proud to have been involved with at University of Oregon?
I am proud to be involved in The Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program and to have the opportunity to help shape the future leaders of the Army. I have been given leadership and training opportunities from ROTC that you cannot get anywhere else and they have shaped me into the person I am now. Being part of ROTC has surrounded me with highly motivated, like-minded individuals who push me to be better every single day.
Who is your biggest role model and why?
My biggest role models are my parents because they have always encouraged me to pursue my interests (both big and small) and have taught me that the best things in life are earned and not given.
What are your goals after college?
Commission as an active duty officer for the Army Engineering Corps.
