OK, I have started this blog three times, and
every time I have accidentally erased it. Proof that
my brain has appropriately shut down during Dead Week.
Temporarily, I hope. It was a crazy term. It’s time
for a break, indeed.
As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted,
I think everyone who is graduating in June has some
sort of the same feeling I do: “Oh Sh@#! One more term
until I have to get a real job!” This, of course, is
mixed with the euphoria of knowing I’ve paid my dues
in a sense, and I don’t have to return to school,
EVER, after June, unless I want to. But basically, I
don’t have an inkling of what I’ll be doing this time
next year, or even where I’ll be living.
I’ve been busy this term, and it was definitely not
boring at all. I covered stories from serene art
galleries to grotesque-but-oddly-beautiful body
modification. And I’m thinking that if I can get a job
in arts writing and spend the rest of my life
attending and writing about stuff like this, I’ll be
forever sublime. Provided, of course, that there is
ample chocolate, lots of, umm, love (wink wink) and
plenty of sparkly things.
Until next term, I will leave you with this short
entry — sort of a teaser, a dangling carrot of my
astounding intellect. Or something.
