The weight room in the Casanova Center will serve as the location for the 16th-annual Weightlifting Classic this Saturday, June 2, and will feature international and local competitors, including a few faces familiar to Duck fans.
Joining in the competition for their first competitive weightlifting event will be Oregon running backs Jonathan Stewart and Andiel Brown. Stewart holds a school record by a running back with a power clean of 407 lbs.
The competition is free to the public and will begin at 11:00 a.m. and last until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. It will be judged on the basis of a snatch and clean and jerk lift by each competitor.
