How/Why do you want to change the world?
To know me is to know my passion for leaving a legacy. To know me is to also know my passion for Disney. With these two passions, my heart has always wondered why we keep magic in one place instead of spreading it everywhere? My goal in life is to leave a legacy of dreaming and believing that you can do what you want. Much like Disney has taught me, you can truly do anything if you have the courage, determination and passion to do so. I hope to spread this mentality to as many people as I can and to encourage every person I cross paths with to truly follow their dreams and to find the magic in everything they do.
What are you proud to have been involved with at University of Oregon?
I am extremely proud to have been The Director of Recruitment Operations for the Panhellenic Council where my team and I implemented a strict policy of what we called “values based recruitment.” This changed the recruitment process to a more genuine and ethical process for women to find what sorority they felt most home at. We enforced recruitment to be based on the values women had and this allowed for more women to find homes where they felt comfortable and were able to excel and further develop leadership skills as well as to continue to grow into well rounded women.
Who is your biggest role model and why?
My biggest role model is my mom who continuously sees the good in others as well as treats everyone with the utmost love and compassion whether it be her family, a stranger at the grocery store, or even a squirrel on a tree in her front yard. She lives fearlessly and forever puts others before herself and lives her life with beauty and grace. She is admired by every heart she touches and is the most beautiful woman inside and out. I would say that I want to follow in her footsteps, but she has raised me to create my own.
What are your goals after college?
Due to the pandemic, my plans of pursing a professional internship with the Walt Disney Company were shattered. As far as what the next steps are, I am unsure at the moment but have a couple things in the works. I am staying very optimistic for what the near future will hold and until the next door opens, I am waiting patiently.
What is one fun fact about you?
I spent last summer doing the Disney College Program and got my “Mousters” degree from Disney University.
