Hayward Field has landed yet another major event in anticipation for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials.
The inaugural Pacific-12 Conference Track and Field Championships will take place on May 5-6 (multi-events competitions) and May 12-13, hosted by Oregon.
Colorado and Utah will formally join the conference on July 1. The Buffaloes have a celebrated distance running program and have long been a contender in the Big 12 Conference. Utah, out of the Mountain West Conference, has a women’s track and field program with no present plans to add men’s track.
