The University’s eighth-annual Sustainable Business Symposium begins today and will continue through Saturday with keynote speeches, panel sessions and workshops at the Lillis Business Complex. Many events are free and open to the public.
There will be a showing of the movie “The Corporation,” which highlights the role of corporations in modern life, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. today in 182 Lillis. The movie is free, but there is a suggested donation of $3 for students and $5 for the general public.
Bill Bradbury, Oregon secretary of state and chair of Oregon’s Sustainability Board, and Apollo Alliance co-founder Dan Carol will speak from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in 182 Lillis on the topic of sustainability.
The symposium is organized by student volunteers from the University’s Lundquist College of Business, the School of Law, the environmental studies program and the Department of Planning, Public Policy
and Management.
