Oregon guard Elisa Mevius will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after suffering a knee injury in Saturday’s game against Montana, the Ducks said in a press release on Nov. 10
Last season, Mevius averaged 6.6 points, 3.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, but was the most impactful on defense and helping Oregon on the margins.
Despite the Ducks’ impressive depth at guard, she was arguably Oregon’s most impactful player and was a key piece within Oregon’s offense and pace.
Ehis Etute, Amina Muhammad and Astera Tuhina seem like the three logical replacements in the starting lineup for the Ducks, who have used a three-guard lineup in both games this season.
None of the three, however, will likely be able to match Mevius’ passing, defensive savvy and all the other intangibles that make the guard so valuable.
Mevius started Oregon’s first two games this season and averaged 12.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals. She is yet to use her redshirt and could return to the Ducks next season.
Oregon takes on Grand Canyon University at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
