Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams hit the courts for nonconference dual meets over the weekend, experiencing little trouble in dispatching Weber State and Eastern Washington, respectively.
The women (8-2) had to wait until Sunday for their matchup with Eastern Washington (2-7), but the extra time off did little to stop the Ducks from scoring a commanding 6-1 victory. Oregon swept through doubles play to earn the match’s first point, with senior Trudie du Toit leading the way in the singles portion with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win over Eastern Washington’s Chrissy Uriarte.

“The girls did a good job making sure they were ready to play after last week’s great win over Ohio State,” head coach Paul Reber said to Goducks.com. “They came out and took charge right from the beginning and made sure to finish strong, making it a good weekend for us.”

The men, meanwhile, played a day earlier on Saturday and won in even more convincing fashion. The Ducks scored a 7-0 shutout over visiting Weber State, and never lost a set throughout the match. Later on in singles play, the men (11-1) once again swept through Weber State, and by the end of the day they had a clean 7-0 victory to rest on.
