Beth Kapsch and her sister Kristi Jo Lewis are owners of Global Sistergoods (shown here with their children), a mainly online company based in Portland. Kapsch and Lewis work to empower women in underdeveloped nations through purchasing their craft goods and selling them in the United States. Global Sistergoods started when Lewis was traveling in Botswana and decided to work with a group of women she met there, providing them with a larger market for their goods. Since then, Global Sistergoods has expanded to fifteen different companies and also works with non-governmental organizations and non-profits. This is the first year the sisters have had a booth at the University’s street fair, though they do other fairs and shows around Oregon during the summer.
