Oregon Daily Emerald: Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3?
Ed Dickson: I’m not really a video game guy.
ODE: Then what do you do around Eugene when you’re not playing football?
ED: I’m a basketball guy. I usually play a few games or hang with my girlfriend. I’m a water guy, too, so I’m usually at the lake or something. Or I just enjoy myself and kick back.
ODE: What’s your major?
ED: Political science.
ODE: If you weren’t playing football, what would you be doing?
ED: I like doing stuff with kids … Or just staying focused and doing school. I graduated early and that was my main goal when I came to college, to graduate.
ODE: Is your next step the NFL?
ED: That was my number one goal: to graduate college, then play in the NFL. I plan on playing in the league one day. But I’m not done here yet. I want to win the national championship this year, but when the time comes, I do want to pursue the NFL.
ODE: What do you do on game day to prepare?
ED: I’m in my own corner; I’m focused. I’m visualizing myself making those plays. I have my head down, and I don’t have my iPod on. I have my iPod on from the time I wake up until the time we make it to the stadium, but then it’s out and I’m visualizing me making the big plays, the big blocks and things like that.
ODE: When I say Boise State, what do you think?
ED: Blue. That’s my favorite color, blue.
