Mick Hokanson has been added to the Oregon softball coaching staff to work with the Ducks’ pitching and outfield. Hokanson will also coordinate recruiting as well as camps and clinics.
“My job isn’t to change anything or take away from the success that this program has had over the past three seasons under coach (Kathy) Arendsen,” Hokanson said. “My job is to build on what’s been put into place and at the end of the season help us play two more games and advance to the World Series.”
Hokanson has served as the assistant coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for the past four seasons. Prior to that, Hokanson coached at Big Bend Community College, where he earned Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges East Region Co-Coach of the Year in 1999 and East Region Coach of the Year in 2001.
