• Alcohol: Extensive wine and beer selection, with a walk-in beer freezer for some of the better brews.

• Groceries: Fully stocked organic, vegetarian-oriented grocery store. Emphasis on bulk foods and hard-to-find specialty foods.
• People who work there: A variety of ages, including college students. Very progressive establishment.
• Home supplies: Good selection of greenhouse products and supplies. Some books to be found as well.
• Alcohol: Excellent selection of high-quality beers and wines, with an emphasis on the wines.

• Groceries: Fully stocked organic, vegetarian-oriented grocery store. Vegetarian salad bar and hot bar with vegan options.
• People who work there: A variety of ages, including college students. Another highly progressive establishment.
• Home supplies: Extensive selection of greenhouse products and supplies, including oatmeal soap and raw organic grain.

ASF – Mini Profile:
Derek Brown, a journalism major focusing on digital video production, has been manning the counter at the EMU’s Union Market for three years now. As he prepares to  enter his fifth year — or “super senior” year — at the University of Oregon, he doesn’t see himself wanting to work anywhere else, even if it does make producing for a campus news organization difficult.
“It’s awesome. It’s a really cool group of people that work here, (and) our boss is the coolest lady in the world,” Brown said. Having also worked at Little’s Market on 13th Avenue and Patterson Alley, he speaks with some authority when he praises the Union Market. “It’s laid back. I like it.”
