A 7-Eleven store near campus was robbed at knifepoint early
Sunday morning when a man approached the female clerk during the graveyard shift and demanded money from the cash register, police said.
The robbery occurred at about 12:35 a.m. at the 24-hour convenience store at the corner of Franklin Boulevard and Villard Street. The woman, who was alone in the store except for the robber, gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled west along the boulevard, Eugene Police Department spokeswoman Kerry Delf said.
Police searched for the man with a police dog but were unable to locate him, she said.
The man is described as a white male, about five feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored windbreaker and a ski mask.
