University President Dave Frohnmayer received a second pay raise this year, increasing his annual salary to $445,433 according to information published in The Oregonian newspaper.
The increase comes from the UO Foundation, which provides Frohnmayer with a supplement each year. This supplement increased from $158,333 to $224,555, according to the newspaper. The other half of his salary comes from state funding.
The increase was approved by the Oregon State Board of Higher Education during their Friday meeting last week, and seven of the of the eight members present voted for it.
The President of Oregon State University also received a pay increase to from its private OSU Foundation, which raised his total salary to $340,000 from state funding and the foundation, according to the article.
Neither Frohnmayer nor the UO Foundation could be reached for comment Wednesday.
