1) Let football run your life, for at least Saturday and Sunday.
2) Start wearing plaid, and if you already wear plaid, wear more.
3) Cut loose that summer fling or turn it into a relationship.
4) Plan your Halloween costume.
5) Drink fall and holiday ales.
6) Eat soups, sandwiches and other warm, hardy food.
7) Carve a pumpkin.
8) Get lost in a corn maze.
9) Walk along the Willamette River; don’t dive in.
10) Enjoy the fact it’s raining again, before you remember you hate the rain.
11) Build a fire and roast marshmallows.
12) Drink whisky and rum, put away the gin and vodka.
13) Sleep in past noon since the sun isn’t out to wake you up early.
14) Re-introduce yourself to your favorite show that begins a new season: Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Eastbound and Down.
15) Maybe do some homework and get back into school … maybe.
