The Ducks finished behind champion USC (8 under par) and second place UCLA (4 under par), but ahead of four Pac-12 competitors (Washington, Stanford, Arizona, Washington State).
At 7 under par, Eugene Wong was Oregon’s best individual performer, placing third overall in the individual competition. Andrew Vijarro (4 over par, tied for 17th), Daniel Miernicki (5 over par, tied for 20th), Robbie Ziegler (9 over par, tied for 25th), Rak Cho (10 over par, tied for 30th) and Jack Paton (15 over par, tied for 50th) rounded out Oregon’s grouping.
After an extended break, Oregon will return to play on Feb. 1, 2012, at the Ameri Ari Invitational in Hawaii.
