Program helps homeless
To quell the rising homeless population, which has risen 50 percent within the last year, the city’s homeless vehicle camping program gives the homeless a place to stay. The program uses the property of businesses, Eugene, Springfield and homeowners who allow them to stay out of the kindness of their hearts. In the midst of a national recession, civic-minded people should always be lauded for lending a helping hand to fellow citizens in need
Rickrollin,’ rollin,’ rollin’
Proving they were never going to give us up and never going to let us down, YouTube reinstated the famous “Rickroll” video to its Web site after an accidental removal. Rick Astley’s 1980s pop video-turned-meme became famous for “Rickrolling,” or tricking someone into watching the video by posting a link claiming to lead someplace else. “Rickrolling” is one of the few memes to escape the bowels of the Internet and find a presence in the real world.

Apple still not green
Apple shareholders rejected two proposals that would force the corporation to be more accountable for its environmental impact. Coming from a company that prides itself on innovation, a green image would definitely be in its best interest. Steve Jobs needs to work some of his silver-tongued magic soon, because if Apple is going to take over the world, the company should at least take
care of it.
