During a slugfest of a second half, the Ducks fell behind early and failed generate enough offense to fight back. Oregon hit just two threes in the second, which helped create an insurmountable USC lead. The Trojans were led by Chad Baker-Mazara’s 25 points and three steals and Jacob Cofie’s 17 points, three steals and two blocks.

Oregon forward Kwame Evans Jr. posted 23 points and nine rebounds, but it just wasn’t enough.

After a Kwame Evans free throw gave Oregon a one point lead, its first of the second half, but an Ezra Ausar and-one put the Trojans ahead once again.

USC has capitalized on the stalling of the Oregon offense and continue to prevent any Duck attempts to take a lead back.

The Ducks’ shooting has regressed since the first half, but they are getting to the free throw line more.

14-4 run for USC over the final four minutes of the first half left the Trojans a chance back into the game. Ducks are 8-15 from beyond the arc, but scored just two points in the final two minutes of the first half. Shelstad leads Oregon while Chad Baker-Mazara and Jacob Cofie lead USC with 12 and 16, respectively.

Oregon is currently 12-23 from deep and Shelstad and Simpkins each lead the way with nine points apiece. Ducks have made five of their las six shots.

The Ducks have made three of their first six attempts from three. Trojans haven’t scored in over three minutes.

The Trojans have struggled to break through Oregon’s zone defense, which it started the game in. The Ducks are still struggling to get anything moving offensively. Sean Stewart just picked up his second foul, so he likely won’t see action for the rest of the first half.
