The NCATA’s Athlete of the Week award is calling Matthew Knight Arena home for the first time in 2026.
Base/tumbler Ashlyn Parlett took the league’s top award following No. 2 Oregon acrobatics and tumbling’s (2-0) win over No. 3 Quinnipiac University on Saturday. Parlett, a junior who competed for the first time in 2025 after spending her freshman year out of competition, was part of 10 heats in the Ducks’ victory.
One of Parlett’s appearances was in the Ducks’ first 10.0 score of the season, its compulsory toss heat — she was also included in Oregon’s 9.85 open pyramid, in which it won a national event title in 2025. It’s her first-ever weekly award (she was an Academic All-Big Ten selection last year).
Top Cassidy Cu also took home her first weekly honor, as an honorable mention in the Specialist of the Week category. She’s a staple in the Ducks acro event, where she competes with Angelica Martin in five and seven-element acro. The two sophomores scored 9.800 and 9.750 in the two heats; Cu competed in four against Quinnipiac, and recovered from a mistake in team event in the Ducks’ opener to turn in a strong performance at home.
The Ducks travel to face No. 1 Baylor (3-0) in Waco, Texas on Feb. 28. The meet is scheduled for 3 p.m. PT.
