Oregon forward Kwame Evans Jr. announced his intent to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Monday afternoon, ending his time as a Duck.
Over his three years at Oregon, Evans played a total of 101 games, made 62 starts, played just over 2,300 minutes and had 876 points. He was a vital player off the bench for Oregon in the 2024-2025 season, when he played 35 games but only started three.
In his final season for head coach Dana Altman, the junior started 30 games, the most in his career, played 922, had 158 defensive rebounds (223 total) and was a key player on the court for an Oregon team missing star point guard Jackson Shelstad to a season-long injury and riddled with health issues all season.
The depth at the forward position is interesting without Evans. Sean Stewart is the best option the Ducks currently have on the roster, as he has one more year of eligibility left. Oregon also has Devon Pryor, who has one more year of eligibility, sophomore Luke Johnson and redshirt freshman from Turkey, Efe Vatan.
