Eugene police are seeking information following an alleged bias crime at the Park Blocks in downtown Eugene on April 20.
An Asian man in his 20s told police he was walking through the Park Blocks near 8th Avenue and Oak Street when a juvenile male traveling with a group approached him from behind and pushed him, causing him to partially fall into the park’s fountain.
According to police, the suspect told the victim “he shouldn’t be there” while mocking his accent.
The victim suffered pain from the incident but did not require medical care.
The suspect is described in surveillance footage as a white male with blond hair wearing black clothing, including a black hoodie with the hood over his head and a black backpack with light-colored accents on the shoulder straps.
