Anna Simmons’ mission of a senior season continues as she received her second award for Big Ten’s Midfielder of the Week after a successful road trip down to San Diego over the past weekend.
In the 16-5 win against Fairleigh Dickinson University, Simmons tallied two goals and in a 12-10 win against San Diego State University, Simmons repeated her two-goal tally and added two assists.
She earned the conference’s midfielder of the week during each of the first three weeks of the season in 2025. The senior captain currently co-leads the team (along with Emma Ing) with her eight goals on the season.
Simmons now posts eight goals, two assists and 13 draw controls offensively while adding eight ground balls and three caused turnovers defensively so far in 2026.
Now with her fifth weekly award of her career, Simmons leads the Ducks in a high-profile tilt against the California Golden Bears at Papé Field this Thursday at 12:00 p.m. PST.
