Lucas is a City News Reporter at The Daily Emerald. He is currently in sophomore standing and this is his first year at the University of Oregon. He is pursuing a double major in journalism and computer science. Prior to joining to The Emerald in October 2024, he was a Contributor at The Oregonian/OregonLive where one of his stories about electric school buses made the front page and the editor-in-chief of his high school’s newspaper.
